Reservoir’s president is Emily Sorokin Kessler. Emily, who is a musician herself, graduated from Vassar College with a degree in Music and pursued graduate studies in Arts Administration at New York University. She continued to pursue her musical endeavors at Atlantic Records and Polygram Records. In 1982, she joined the staff of Young Concert Artists, Inc. (YCA), an internationally recognized nonprofit organization which discovers and launches the careers of the world's most promising young musicians. At YCA she became Management Director where she managed the early careers of such acclaimed artists as soprano Dawn Upshaw, pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, cellist Carter Brey, the Boromeo String Quartet, Mr. Halim, and others. In 1999 she formed Resrvoir Studio Productions and selected Mr. Halim for the label's debut recordings.
